Fresh Picks!

We signed up to get a mixed box of fruits and veggies once a week from Fresh Picks WA .  You can choose to do it a month, 2 months, or 3 months at a time.  Since my friend had a good experience and 3 months was the cheapest way to go, we jumped right in and did 3 months and we really like it so far.  I feel like I gotta use all the goods before the next box comes so we have a lot more healthy snacks.

The produce comes from a local farm and you pick them from a designated pick up spot on your area.  They serve the Tri-Cities, Othello, Basin City, Moses Lake, and Connell.

Having it all already paid for is awesome because it frees up money in my biweekly budget.  Honestly I didn’t think it would make that much of a difference but I had WAY more money left over than I usually do.

Here is what was in the boxes you can choose from last week.

Fruit Box:

4 lbs apples, 4 pounds pears, 3 pints strawberries, frozen cherries, 1/2 cherry/apple cider, jar of berry delight jam.

Mixed Box:

Bag of spinach, 2 cups strawberries, 3 lbs apples, 3 lbs pears, 5 lbs potatoes, bunch of garlic, bag of red lettuce, and a 1/2 gallon of apple cider

Lunch Room box:

12 lbs apples, 5 lbs pears, 2 pints strawberries, dried cherries

Check it out and see if it is for you.  They have some other things at pretty good prices.  I really want to get their frozen pitted pie cherries.  We got some dried cherries in one of the boxes and they were GOOD, plus their cherry/apple cider is delicious as well.
