My First Turkey!

I didn’t take a picture which is sad because it was beautiful.  I cooked my first turkey.  I had a roommate that made cooking a turkey sound like a big deal so when I made one yesterday I felt very proud of myself.  It was even moist and delicious! I was sure it was going to be dry like 90% of the turkey out there.  Cooking a turkey is actually really easy,  I don’t know what I was afraid of before.  Except I kind of have a thing about handling meet,  especially beef.  It can just really gross me out and the closer it looks like something that was living at one point makes it worse.  I usually get all meat boneless and skinless for that reason.  When you prepare a turkey you have to pull out the neck and the bag with the organs and giblets… I wasn’t a huge fan of that part but I did it – and then I let my mother in law take off all the extra meet from the carcass when we were done.  I’ll do that part another time.
