A compromise

So Nathan has been wanting a new computer for sometime as well as other electronics but mainly I get to hear about the computer.  Last weekend it got to be too much.  He looked physically pained that I was not allowing him to buy a new computer.   We have three computers already so I just can’t justify getting another one without selling one first.  Unfortunately Nathan likes the computer we could sell too so he didn’t go for that.  He wanted this new computer to be a media center hooked up to the TV.  So as a compromise we got a few new things to make the computer that we have more like a media center and hook it up to the tv.  This ended up costing about a third of what a new computer would cost but I am still having buyers guilt over it.  The day after we did it I remembered that we still didn’t have a 72 hour kit together.  I have now decided no more toys for us until we get a 72 hour kit together and quite a bit more food storage.

Don’t let him Wendy. Fight him off. Tell him toys are for people with money.

Oh that’s nice of Nathan to actually talk to you first. Jeremy never talks to me about any big purchases or toys that he likes. He mentions the idea and before I know what hits me, he has it! He’s pretty lucky I am such a laid back wifey-poo or I don’t know if he would still have a wifey-poo with all the times he has done that over the past 15 years! It’s just a good thing I guess that he works hard to earn those toys. Good thing there is at least one saver in the fam or you would both be in trouble!
