Fuzzy wuzzy had no Hair…

Nathan has had a heart condition for most his life. It is where his heart will start beating really fast out of no where. Usually when he is just sitting around. Some people have it really bad where it happens many times a day but for him it happens on average once a month. He went to the doctor a while ago when it was bugging him quite a bit and found out he could have a surgery to get it fixed but its not anything life threatening. For the most part it is just annoying to deal with. They had him come back for a check up on it and they decided to put him on a heart monitor for a month to see if they could record an episode.

Since they had to have little electrodes stick to his chest, he decided to shave his whole chest and belly. I thought it looked great but he says his pecs look flabby and and smaller, he really regrets doing it. Oh well, it will be fun while it lasts.

Food storage plan moving right along

I know I still have a lot to learn about food storage and managing it. This chart I have been working on is at least making me excited about filling in all the holes. I got a good basic food storage calculator thanks to some one who posted on my last food storage entry. I copied the formulas into Numbers so I can add other items or change certain amounts of items according to my family’s needs. The nerdy side of me really loved making this work. So now my little chart is two pages. One page is the calculator and the other is a layout of what I still need to get.

Sorry if the food storage posting is lame. I don’t have a lot of anything exciting to post about lately.

Eight months of Ahnna!

Milestones:

  1. She is crawling!
  2. Pulls herself up at least to her knees, sometimes she gets all the way up
  3. 4 teeth
  4. Much more interactive

Weird Kid

Ahnna hates flute music, it must scare her or remind her of being in the womb because I practiced when I was pregnant fairly often, whatever it is she does not like it  .  I started practicing for a piece in sacrament meeting and she started crying every time.  Then I had to take her along to play in the chapel with the pianist and she SCREAMED most of the time.  When the piano played it was just fine.  When she heard the flute she would sob. She likes Guitar Hero so maybe I just have a rock ‘n roll baby.

Girly Stuff

So I haven’t bought new makeup since before Nathan and I got married. That is, if you don’t include the inventory of Mary Kay make up I got when I signed up to sell Mary Kay. That ended up being bad timing because I found out I was pregnant the day after I signed up and then suddenly all the excitement I had to do Mary Kay was gone because I was nauseas 24/7 for the fist three months. Right before Ahnna was born I started doing really good. Then baby happened and Mary Kay stopped dead. So I have a list of inventory I am trying to get rid of. If you want a look Click Here . It’s all half price. Sorry the prices are not on there. This list use to just be my inventory. Go to marykay.com for retail prices.

Anyway, my point in this post is I will always love Mary Kay skin care but I really like Victoria’s Secret make-up . A few days ago I was feeling like a slob because I don’t take care of my hair and make up like I used to so I did a little make-up shopping spree there. (Something I’ve never done) and I discovered their liquid eyeliner pen. It is wonderful. Very pointy, almost too sharp tip and it hasn’t smeared at all from normal wear (I’ll have to test it in hot weather). I LOVE it. I am probably on the verge of having it too thick on the top because I just love playing with it. I made Nathan promise to tell me if I start wearing too much make up so I guess I’m good so far. :P

inability to blow my mind

so what’s up with the title. . . . . well, basically I need some some stinking weights and a good place to put some resistance on my muscles. Informercials always try to sell you machines that allow you to do all kinds of exercises with the change of a button or the switch of a rod. I’m here to say that it just ain’t good enough. I need a 45 lb bar and lots of plates with a bench. I need some dumbells from 25lbs to 100lbs. I need a lat machine that makes my back burn. I need a row machine that i can add weight to until my rhomboids are popping out of my back. I need weight enough to squat my legs into gelatin. I know that everyone has their way of dealing with stress and just plain venting. Man I’m glad to be done with Pullman WA but sometimes I’d kill to be able to go back to the rec center I love so dearly and just lift until you have to haul my carcass out on a stretcher.

The Time has Come

Ahnna is crawling. Nothing is safe.

Response to a comment turned into new post

(Everything written below is with a friendly tone.  It would be easy to read it in a not so friendly way)  This post is in response to the last comment on my Juno Rant Post.

If someone writes a comment that is all about disagreeing with what I wrote I probably won’t approve it to be viewed publicly.  Not because I fear opposition or I’m offended, I just like to say whatever I want without having to answer to anyone.  If I post an opposing view than I feel like I need to defend my side.  I could debate every detail I write about, I just don’t want to.  Am I just lazy? Yes.
SOO concerning Moulin Rouge. I use to watch that movie two times a day.  I was an addict, it was worse than sad, it was pathetic.  I was one of the worst fanatics you can come across…. ok maybe not that bad, but pretty bad all the same.  I understand the themes in that movie inside and out.  My point in saying that movie was worse than Juno was all the sexual stuff.  The scantily clad women, the fornication.  There is a lot of stuff in there that is not, how do I say it…. good for the soul? I decided I shouldn’t watch it anymore because of all the crap I shouldn’t be watching to get to the good themes.  The bad outweighed the good for me.  Even though it doesn’t show actual sex,  Moulin Rouge is very sexual.

Once again I feel like I have to say I’m not trying to be self righteous.  This is just my opinion, I totally understand people who love it and see the good in it.  That is great. :)

Food Storage Fun

For quite a while now I have been really wanting to get started on my food storage. I keep worrying that I’ll never get around to it because I could never think of working on it when I had the time to do so. Well after hearing a projection that gas prices my be up to $8 or $9 dollars by fall, I had the significant motivation to get started. Partially I just didn’t know where to start so I went to lds.org and got an idea of what to do first. Then I put together a little spreadsheet yesterday in Numbers (the mac version of excel, easier to use and much more sleek, of course I had to make my chart very pretty looking.) There are plenty of holes in the spreadsheet right now but I am slowly going to get the years supply we need. I started the first of it today and it felt great to do. The panicky feeling has ebbed a bit but I don’t think it will go away completely until I have it all done.

One thing I’m a little confused about. The calculator on the LDS website says that you need 25lbs per person per month of wheat, rice, corn and other grains. Is that 25 lbs of each type of grain. For us that would be 900 lbs of each kind of grain and that seems like way more than we need. Right now I have 900 lbs split up between all the different types of grain.

Can’t Get Enough

On our Seattle trip Ahnna was usually not happy in the car. She was teething and upset but here is a brief time when she was laughing her head off. The video on my phone is not the greatest but you get the idea. I can’t get enough of baby laughter.
