Ahnna has this habit of pooing so much at a time that there is no way any diaper could hold it all, so as a result she had a lot of stained clothes. Regular spray ‘n wash stuff does not take it out. I was telling my mom how she pooed a lot on a onesie I really like and she told me that a cup of dishwasher soap and a cup of regular bleach, soaked in hot water for 24 hours will take anything out. You don’t even have to worry about it being colored, for some reason with the dishwasher soap the bleach won’t take out the color. So I gathered up all the stained clothes, including a second hand dress that had formula stains on it (didn’t see it when I got it) and soaked them all and it worked! Didn’t matter if I had washed and dried them before or anything. She told me that Tiffany and I were really well dressed as children because she would buy everything from second hand stores and garage sales that were good clothes but had formula stains on them. She would take them out using this method and it was like they were new clothes.
So I was pretty excited when I saw the results for myself today. At first I thought maybe I was excited just because I’m a homemaker but ya know everyone has stained something they like to wear, and now you know how to get it out. ![]()

What great advice - thanks so much for sharing! So let me get this straight; you mix powdered soap for dishwashers with the bleach, then add the article of clothing and soak the whole thing in hot water for 24 hours? Or is there some sort of chemical reaction where you have to let the mixture sit for 24 hours before adding the clothes? Thanks again for sharing what is surely the best stains advice ever!
